A ribbon cutting ceremony took place October 7th for the grand opening of the Norris Viaduct in Cheyenne, WY.

With the completion of the Norris Viaduct came excitement and pride for Reiman Corp employees and owners.  The project located on Logan Avenue and spanning over the Union Pacific Railroad includes a pedestrian walkway beneath and on the roadway.  After 57 years of use from the original Norris Viaduct, this 4 lane bridge has been erected to serve as a safe and graceful passage over the railroad to the surrounding community.

Construction on the Norris Viaduct began in August of 2008 after a vote by Laramie County citizens for approval of the use of $11.8 million on the Specific Purpose and Use Tax ballot to help build the bridge.  Demolition of the old viaduct will begin winter of 2009 and landscaping in the spring of 2010.

The Norris Viaduct is the city's largest public works project to date.
